Life in the Big Apple

New York, New York! Getting used to totally impatient NY people, talking about 'blocks' instead of streets, getting a 1 liter-size takeaway coffee in the morning, tipping (still don't get it..), taking the busy subway to the office, choosing between 1001 different TV channels, loud sirens 24/7 and people yelling at you on the streets.

What a great city, you have to love it!!

The views during a helicopter tour we did around the city!
This is the view from our first apartment in Chelsea on the 14th floor. A great location and apartment but unfortunately just available temporarily . So after our short (and totally exhausting) trip to Europe we got into a sublet-apartment on the Upper West Side, on 96th and Amsterdam Ave. A bit further away from all the action but it had an extra bathroom and study, very handy for all our visitors.

Partying and shopping with Andrea (our Aussi-American friend) and her girlfriends from New York. The Statue of Liberty with Joris and Floor...

Halloween parade with Anita, Liesbeth and Esther and some serious nightlife activity with cousin Hasse and English-Aussie friend Charlie. Cheers!
